Everything on this forum should be assumed to be NSFW. We have a moratorium on sexual violence so there's limited opportunity for sex to come up. If sex somehow comes up, especially on the off topic board, you can tag the title with [sex] or [sexual content]. I don't want any NSFW tags because I don't want anyone assuming that this forum is work-safe. I know that Americans tend to be a lot less prudish about violence than sex but Holocaust photos of body piles even in the proper context can still create a hostile work environment if someone sees it and gets upset.

I support the development of forum culture and a sense of community identity. That will naturally involve a shared understanding of forum history.

What I'm not ok with is playing up the drama that happens on the forum because some users think it's fun or entertaining.

The moderators are unpaid volunteers who have a passion for the community. They do not need unnecessary bullshit.

When we ban someone for causing trouble to the community, we don't want to continue hearing about them.

Intentionally creating alternate or novelty accounts for the purpose of "larping" or playing out hypothetical or other fictitious scenarios can be punished with a permanent ban across all accounts.

Asking moderators or other users for information about an incident is unacceptable. Providing the information will also be punished.

Whining off-site about moderation or writing about negative forum events is also inappropriate.

It shouldn't have to be said, but bringing attention to mentally ill hit pieces written by butthurt Neo Nazis is inappropriate and they don't deserve the advertising and attention.

Penalties will bypass the standard escalation of warnings. Your main account will receive an immediate warning level and ban duration that will be decided at the time by an administrator. All novelty accounts will be permanently banned.

There is enough actual bullshit that goes on without intentionally manufacturing it.

We have an extremely effective system to identify people which has worked to deanonymize people accessing through clean TOR sessions.

If something is deleted, you can discuss it privately with the moderators. Reposting, making whiny complaints or trying to draw attention to it is considered negative attention seeking behavior and itself is justification for a permanent ban.

This rule is also discretionary. If you post a long essay you wrote that got deleted because it was filled with nonsense, you might be ok posting it to your blog. If you add in an editorial calling out the moderators and whining about why it got removed, then expect a ban for negative attention seeking.

I'm not talking about posts stating that women are hot or that Tanya has huge tits. We can all see it, it's why I dated her.

What's unacceptable is users making posts blatantly sexualizing historical women or women in contemporary hobbies. This includes expressing any excessive interest of sexual desire or making negative comments about their appearance. Women don't exist for your amusement. If anyone posts a comment negatively criticizing the appearance of female historical cosplayers or reenactors, they're getting a long ban. I'm not going to perpetuate women being driven out of male dominated hobbies because greasy virgins don't find them up to their standards.

The same rule applies to historical women. I don't understand how any males aren't deeply ashamed of making posts like that.

Maintain civilized discussion: This means don't be rude, no trolling, and don't get into flame wars. If another user is being rude, let the moderators deal with it. If you get into a flame war with them, the thread will be locked and everyone involved will be given warnings. Flame wars will be dealt with severely.

Stay on the topic of the thread: It breaks continuity and new users who join the thread will be confused. Users who post of topic will receive warning points and the threads will be locked. Replies need to be relevant to the first post or the last post. All posts must be related to the first post in some way.

Do not make multiple posts in a row: You will receive a severe warning for it. (25% warning) Bans start at 30% of the max warning level.

Posts must contain at least one complete sentence and must not contain abbriviations, leetspeak, or consist only of images or other media.

Making posts in order to "bump" threads is forbidden. If you have a question or are seeking advice, you can ask a moderator to bump the thread for you.

Check post dates before replying to old threads. If you have a statement or question that's relevant to the thread, you can post it, but don't revive old threads if you don't have anything important to say.

All users except moderators must use the default text color. Custom text colors are reserved for moderator use. Any user who uses a custom text color will receive a warning. Using moderator designated text colors will be considered impersonation of a moderator.

This should go without saying, but certain BB code is intended for moderators to post notices such as warnings. Any use of this code outside of official moderator use will be treated as impersonating a moderator and serious warnings will be given out.
