We dealt with this exact issue over the summer and throughout last year. We had a user who was with us for more than a year get permanently banned after he had a meltdown because I consistently didn't want to go along with his suggestions for promoting the site.
I've made various Youtube videos in the past and I think that releasing the occasional production with a lot of work and research put into it could be a good concept for education outside of this site, I don't want to deal with the dynamics of having a major "presence" on Youtube. I'd rather keep the forum as a relatively niche "underground" resource for reenactors and history buffs. Once you start getting into mainstream pop culture you're going to have tons of Nazi fetishists constantly complain that we aren't repeating 1 Tiger = 5 Shermans nonsense. On the other side we've had literal fetishistic crossdressers and Soviet fetishists whose entire reason for being here was to facilitate sexual larping and uniform fetishism. We occasionally have dudes post jokes about having their girlfriends wear their uniforms which is fine, but constantly asking for advice and then disregarding when you get called out on farb because you want a role play costume is just insulting. Plus blatant creepy fetishism is going to drive women away from the hobby.
