I found a blog that someone wrote about Tanya

[Edited by Tanya: Do not post links to site like this.  Let sad losers be, don't give them attention.]

You should see if you can get it taken down.  I hope that they remove it for you.

I appreciate you bringing this to us.  Please do not link to pages like that as all it does is validate them by giving them attention.

It's sad that people feel the need to do stuff like this without shame.  I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.

Are you going to contact Wordpress.com to get it removed?

I'm probably not going to try to get it taken down right now.

It's also a bit strange that you choose to post this in a thread instead of contacting the admins privately.  I'm not going to delete this thread right now, but it comes across as an attempt to provoke trouble when you make a public thread like this.

Getting stuff like this removed can alert the person who posted it and has the possibility of continuing the problem.  It's also written like a teenager having an emotional temper tantrum and I doubt that anyone is going to take it seriously.  If anything they're doing far more harm to their own reputation by writing something like this.

This was the best way I thought of to let you know. I can send you a private message if I find anything else like this.

You should get it removed because it's something that employers could find during a job application process and they're not going to hire someone who has a list of accusations like that.

My name isn't "Tatyana" so I doubt this would even come up in search results. If it did, I'd rather get rejected in the application process then get hired by the type of people who are going to believe weird internet ramblings written by someone who has obvious mental illness.

To the extent that this could have a detrimental outcome, every woman named Tatyana Chernova is going to have a claim against it. She's creating a potentially serious problem for every woman named Tatyana Chernova just to get back at me for not buying into her racist bullshit.

I'm not worried about potential employers seeing mentally disturbed ramblings if it even comes up in search results for them.

I feel like I should weigh in on this since it has become an ongoing discussion.  Tanya already got to this before I did, so I decided to let her handle it and not intervene.  Seeing as how this is turning into a discussion, I feel like mentioning my thoughts.

First, I don't ever want to lay smackdown on any user who brings something seemingly important like this to our attention.  Anytime that any user finds something that they think we should know about, they should feel comfortable sharing it.

With that said, posting this thread was seriously the wrong way to handle it.  It should have been sent via PM to an administrator or at least a moderator and the fact that it wasn't really makes my mod senses tingle.  Linking to a page that is attempting serious reputation harm is completely and totally unacceptable.  We just about have a zero tolerance policy for such things.

While OP has an established account with a history of activity on this forum, that still doesn't rule out the possibility that OP is actually the author of the post.  Even still, it also doesn't rule out OP and the author being different people, but OP is trying to make a bait post to stir up controversy.

OP, you are not in any trouble now, but please remember to keep matters like this private and consider this to be a verbal warning.

Tanya, my two cents is that we give OP a chance to ask any questions about what we've said and then delete this thread. Even assuming purely innocent intentions from OP, this isn't the type of spectacle we should be having.

And Tanya, while this isn't related to this thread, in my opinion you should be concerned about dealing with this type of thing. The accusations made against you are incredibly serious and people doing research on you might decide to pass you up if they see the types of accusations that are being made against you.

Hi Chuikov, thanks for your reply.

I only posted this thread because I honestly thought that it would be the best way to bring it to the attention of the forum staff. I promise that any time I find something like this I'll only report it to an administrator with a private message.

And Tanya, I agree with Chuikov about trying to get the blog taken down. Even if it is just rambling, it has serious accusations that some people might not want to take chances with.

Thanks for weighing in after deferring when I posted in the thread.

OP has an extremely extensive post history going back over a year and he has been a regular and semi active user of the forum. Without disclosing technical methods used, OP and the author of the blog post appear to be coming from completely different home networks and use different browsers and operating systems. There are no markers that indicate a connection between them either. Even aside from those facts, I find it hard to imagine that someone created an alternate account over a year ago and has been active with it with completely different topics discussed. The author was absolutely obsessed with defending German civilians. OP has a history of debunking unwarranted pro German defenses.

The main point for OP is that he shouldn't deal with these issues by making public posts, which he has already acknowledged.

I agree that the main issue here is the motivation of OP. At this point I think it's a solved issue and I would not recommend any action against OP since we seem to be at an understanding. If you haven't noticed though, every single one of his posts in this thread is oriented toward trying to get you to take action to get the blog post removed, which does not look good for him at all. Whether he intended it or not, it comes across like he's trying to provoke a situation. Even though I said you should be proactive against this type of slander, I think that your decision to ignore this blog post would be justified considering the situation. Just let it be and don't provoke a potential escalation.

At this point I'm mostly spitballing devil's advocate ideas more then offering a serious counter argument and I'm inclined to agree with your assessment for now, but there's a few points that are important to share with you.

You're 20 and haven't had as much of a chance to see a lot of weird stuff online. An alternate account that's a year or two old is absolutely not out of the question, even if it has regular activity throughout the time since it was created. Mentally unwell people do weird stuff, and it's not unthinkable that someone would start living out one of their complexes online and then create another online identity for a complex that sprung up in opposition to it.

The blog author seems to have an online presence going back to 2006 with a bizarre obsession for defending German civilians popping up within the past few years. An account that's 1-2 years old is consistent with that.

In this situation, that would be making a lot of assumptions and I'm not suggesting that's what's happening.

I feel like we're at a resolution point for this issue.
